| So back to the airport to get Charles. David and I got up there on time and without any trouble. And there came Charles off the plane. He looked rather tired after what I assumed to have been a long week of swimming shmoosing and partying. When the first words out of his mouth were not hi, thanks, I'm tired, or anything like that but; "You Guys Didn't Listen To A Word I Said!." We were flabbergasted. He proceeded to tell us that he told us to go back into the city and wait at my place for his call w/ further instructions. That he was going to call for another ride. And that in fact that is what he did. We could head on out and that Mark should be there any moment to get him. We followed him to the baggage claim and just as we were getting our wits about us to tell him what we thought Mark showed up. It was a good thing he had also I was quite fed up from a bad week and his attitude. Neither of us blew up in front of Mark, We just said good bye and headed home. David and I just vented to each other for the whole forty-five minute drive back to my place. He then proceeded to do the errands he had put off to help me and get Charles and I headed to bed. Truly looking forward to the end of the this not vacation and to work the next day. As I have said repeatedly I won't bore you with what happened at work because it was run of the mill. But boy did I enjoy having a normal run of the mill week. Charles did apologize for being a fuck in an IM the next morning but I was not yet in a forgiving mood I just told him that it was a perfect ending to a truly fucked week. |
