Dear Journal,
I normally don't write in the middle of the week but yesterday I found a new online journal that I found very interesting. The first journal I ever read was about a year and a half ago it was Justins Koool Page. From there I followed links from his page to others and continued from there. I am not sure whose page I was on yesterdays but when I got to Zup's Relm I stopped to see what he had to say. At first I didn't think it was going to be anything that would interest me. I perservered and soon found that his ramblings were quite interesting and they gave me a lot of ideals as to what to write on my own page. He gave me enough ideas to double the size my current page.
I have found myself addicted to reading these journals and have asked myself what it is about them that I like so much. I think that part of it is a feeling of connection with other gay men and their everyday lives. Somehow the things that people put on their online journals are more intimate than anything you could learn about a persons thoughts feelings and ideas even from your closest friends or lovers. Now I know that what is put on an online journal isn't the unvarnished trouth about a person but even what people put in their personal journal that they never plan to show to anyone doesn't contain the unvarnished truth. Here are the journals that I have found to be the most addictive. |
