This is my instructor homepage. I have posted some information here on my life and background.
I am currently enrolled in the the California State University, MS in Ed. program. I have a degree in English from Sonoma State University. I am also a published novelist and poet. I have also published numerous short stories in many small journals and magazines.
I see distance learning as a natural extension of my background and work in education support; tutoring, tutor training, assisting students in the classroom and in labs. I think that fostering independent, active learning in individual students while building communities online is an exciting process.
A very similar process to distance learning is the collaborative community that is created when writers get together to share ideas, techniques, and feedback. This is the kind of environment that I hope to facilitate in each creative writing class. I look forward to working with you in this class.
