Journal Assignments:
This course requires that you write in an e-journal (electronic journal) twice a week. Please feel free to share this journal with your classmates along with your instructor. e-Journals can be found at the links below:
1. BLOGGER is one of the major blogs available; it is very popular. It is highly customizable and expandable.
2. PITAS is one of the oldest around and has to be the simplest to get up and running.
3. DIARY LAND has been around nearly as long as Pitas and has an extremely friendly interface.
Which one should I use?
I prefer Blogger because it automatically posts the dates. The learning curve on any of these is not steep. Go to a couple of them and look around. Register for a few and see which one you like and which one fits your style. Whichever one you choose, you must send me instructions on how to access it in an e-mail. You should be able to give others access to the site by sending them a URL or log-in information.
What do I write?
You can write a traditional journal, you can work with an extended piece of fiction you are working on. The main thing is that you practice writing. If you are really stumped, read the 100 JOURNAL ASSIGNMENTS page. Use one of them or be inspired.
