| This season has been terrible so far! Though I was looking forward to My Girl Hallie, the excitment of the show lasted about five minutes when it got really boring (mainly because you knew what was going to happen, by guessing or reading the script beforehand). Joey Patrick, an average boy with everything about him being average except for his grades. His mom buys him a new computer and Joey makes it his friend. In the end he learns that we shouldn't worship idols. The end. "Join us next time for more Adventures in Odyssey." Wow, what a great show! Except for the fact that I could do better with my eyes closed, this show is a classic! Let's listen to it again and again. YAH!!! See my unenthusiadm for this show? It could of been condensed into a split show and the impact would be the same: idols has been done before and this way isn't much better. Maybe one we need to be reminded of, yes (hint, hint, AIO fans with 40+ albums), but probably doesn't need to be done in this way. On a more positive note, it was nice to hear another Twilife Zone episode, though with Whit doing it again this time. Connie was much better and has a better personality for the part. Whit is just-well, Whit! But I understand why they used him, it's his show and also Connie's off having the time of her life in Washington or wherever she is. The prodigal daughter, I'm sure. The music was okay, some music we haven't heard for awhile also. The sound effects were okay, but nothing compared to "Silver Lining" or any of the Novacom shows. The voice of Hallie (Joey's computer) was good too but it was weird to hear Chris as his mom. Bob Hoose I expected this from but Nathan? No, not Nathan! This show is truely an example of a good idea gone bad and one of the worst AIO shows (definitely in the worst 100). Oh well, you win some, you lose some, I guess. This show might be better on the album version of it (it will be nice to hear the other ending), at least I certainly hope so! This show gets about two stars just because it's an AIO show. Edit 3/3/04: I decided to bump up the rating for this show because I look back on it quite fondly. So, my opinions have changed slightly from the original review but the majority of my opinions stand. |
