| The general concept of Lost By a Nose isn't very exciting, but the theme of this show is very important. Overall, I liked this show, but there is still many things about this episode that could be improved upon. The storyline of this show is rather drab. Not much of a "hook" to it. Many of Mandy's and Liz's jokes fall flat and some of their dialogue sounds like it's being acted. I think the problem here is really with the writing-it just doesn't flow like it should. The sound effects are okay in this episode. There's nothing too exciting in this episode to warrant good sound effects. The music is okay (at times I thought I was listening to Split Ends, Part Two) and suited the show. The sound effects and music are pretty average in this show. The lesson in this show was good and was very well put together at the end with the poem. The problem was that, at times, it seemed a little condradictory. We are told that our inner beauty is more important than our outer beauty, but why are the two main characters in this show wearing makeup and making sure they look just right (not only in this show, but in previous shows such as Split Ends)? It would seem that the writer does not feel strongly about his point. People follow examples of fictional characters. "If Mandy wears makeup, why shouldn't I?" The theme of this show is important, but it could've been crafted better. In conclusion, I liked Lost By a Nose quite a bit. The general idea behind the show is okay and the theme is good. The main problem I had was that the writer was writing about a subject that he did not, perhaps, fully understand. This show is better than the two previous ones (The Coolest Dog and The Present Long Ago), but AIO keeps bringing out shows with not enough heart and too much worldliness. I hope that I will be hearing some shows from AIO soon that I will find hardly anything negative about them and can be happy with the spiritual dimensions in them. Many of the new shows (including this one) don't even mention the Name of God. I'm getting tired of this. Lost By a Nose is an average show that is, again, quite forgettable. |
