| What is this work about? 1.Finding out about people and places in the News Yesterday 2.Using electronic newspapers to find out the information required 3.Using the 'Windows' copy and paste functionsas a note taking tool 4.Using presentation software you have been learning about in ICT such as Powerpoint or Publisher to build a composition. |
| What have I got to do? 1.Load in your preferred presentation software and drop it onto the desktop taskbar ready for action. 2.Access the internetand go to the Geography department Website at www.geocities.com/geobkh 3.From the HOMEPAGE click on the GEONEWS icon and choose an 'electronic newspaper' 4.Read the headlines and find a story about a place or person. Highlight the information you want to select and 'copy'. Bring up your presentation software and 'paste' the information into it. 5.Use several newspapers either on the same or different subjects and build a composition about what people and place swere doing yesterday 6.Pass an editorial comment about the pieces you have selected. Express an opinion! |
