Activities Planned
On the bases of the feedback from our members that we got during many general body meetings, we planned the following activities:
Second Science Week ����������March 13-17,1999
Just like every other groups of the College Society, we participated in the Science Week activities. The stall was decorated with posters, fossils and a variety of rocks/minerals. Our booth was very close to the entrance and remained a focus of attraction. Many questions were asked and we were able to respond to all of them. Yaqoob AI-Hosni gave a slide presentation about the Himalaya-98 expedition.
Third Science Week���������� March 11-13,2000
Best Student Award
The society asked for applications for the best students award. Out of 12 applicants, one will be selected. The competition is tough and hold your breath. Talal Al Hosni is the best Student for year 1999.
Picnic
Wadi al-Khod was the venue for the Geo-Group picnic. It was very well attended by the students, faculty and staff. We are planning to make it an annual event in the holy month of Ramadhan.
