Argentiere Glacier

Here are some shots of the Argentiere Glacier from about 100 m above the Lognan Refuge (2032m), following a hike up to the Lognan Refuge/Chalet and on to the edge of the Argentiere Glacier ending (for me) at Point du Vue du Glacier (2338 m). From that point, you can continue onto the glacier and on to the Refuge d'Argentiere and many other points in the nearby mountains. It was raining, but that made for mostly good hiking, since we didn't get baked by the sun. It's difficult to explain the scale, but the cracks you see are more than big enough to swallow a body in width and the waterfall on the opposite side is over a 1/2 km away. Didn't try to figure out how deep they were.....
