Young Achievement Australia is an independent non-government not-for-profit organisation administered by a board of trustees. YAA operates nationally through a network of state and regional offices, and are affiliated internationally with Junior Achievement operations in over 100 countries around the world.

YAA programs hope to give young people first-hand insights into the workings of private enterprise and industry to allow them to be better prepared when they start looking for work. The programs aim to instill a sense of teamwork and cooperation as well as leadership and personal initiative -- much sought after values by employers.
