FOOTPRINTS

by: Garnett Ann Schultz

Footprints in the Winter's snow
Crystal streamlets winds that blow,
Frost and cold a lonely time
Waiting for the sun to shine,
Drifts are mounting ever high
Reaching to the blue of sky.

Footprints little creatures dear
Leave a mark of beauty here,
As they travel onward plod
Guided by the hand of God,
Fearless of snow and cold
Dreaming of sunshine gold.

Fleeting moments quiet bliss
Wintertime is all of this,
January tinseled time
February's valentine,
Loveliness along life's way
Footprints on a Winter day.
