FRIEND

by: Patricia A. Davey

We walk on a path of sorrow,
at each turn we lose our way,
we tremble at the thought of tomorrow,
as we bend with the trouble of today.

Yet, One walks the path beside us
through we cannot see or hear.
He comforts when others deride us,
through all our days He is near.

He never tires ordesserts,
though all alone we may be,
He binds up our wounds and hurts,
though we may never know it is He.

The world may burn up with fire
but He will stay to the end,
to save us all is His one desire,
He is our only true Friend.
