LITTLE PLACE OF HEAVEN

by: Michael Dubina

There's a church, around the corner,
That I visit every day
To relieve myself of burdens
That oppress my Christian way.

It's a little place of heaven
That is comfort to my heart
Where I talk and pray to Jesus
Of my fortunes and my lot.

Words of prayer and tears of heartaches
Only He can hear and see;
Silent words of fears and passions,
That I hide inside of me.

In exchange, He lifts my burdens
And makes light my weary way
In this little place of heaven
That I visit every day.
