STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN

The stairway to Heaven
Is what we should seek,
And never stop climbing
Till we reach the peak.

The going seems easy
First couple of stairs-
We're young with the Lord
And free from most cares.

But then as we climb
Thru the years of our life,
We're slowed down a bit
By heartaches and strife.

A step or two backwards
As our faith starts to dim,
Then surging on upwards
As we're lifted by Him.

One day we will reach
The top of the stairs
God's Kingdom at last
With Him we will share.
