GOD'S DWELLING PLACE

by: Barbara Cagle Ray

God is with us each day of our lives;
He can be found in the smallest things:
Midst a golden dancing field of daffodils
Or high above aloft on eagles' wings

On my rose trellis, He comes to flower,
And around my porch post, He entwines.
His moonlit shadow's on the ocean's waves;
Oh, the boundless beauty of its shine!

He floats high on white, billowing clouds
And sings to me from nests on high
That colorful rainbow far in the distance
Is His smile across the vast blue sky.

When His sparkling stars shine at night
And draw our eyes to spendor far above,
There shines upon mankind's sinful heart
The light of His pure and forgiving love.

Many places our God may choose to dwell,
But from man His love never departs;
It stays constantly with us every day
Abiding deep within His children's hearts.
