A QUIET PLACE

by: Regina Wiencek

I'm dreaming of a little house
Which I can call my own,
To dwell secure and worry free
When outside cold winds roam.

With windows bright in every room
To welcome Heaven's light;
By day the splendor of the sun,
The starry host by night.

With flowers 'round about the house
That spread their sweet perfume,
Where robins usher in the morn
With a delightful tune.

A porch to sit at close of day
To watch gray shadows fall
And listen to the restless wind
High in the treetops call.

A quiet place in meadows green
Where precious peace resides,
And through the ever hast'ning years,
Unchanging love abides.
