TEST OF FAITH

My heart is very heavy
With the burdens of this day
For it has been a time of trials
Of struggle and dismay
And all my prayers have been in vain
To comfort my despair
Or bring me blessings of my Lord
For faith in holy prayer.

Yes, I am not disposed to cry
For all in disarray
For God, I'm sure, has made this day
For me to find my way
And means, for me, to walk alone
To prove my faith is strong
When prayers are empty of reward
And everything goes wrong.
