OPEN YOUR HEART TO KINDNESS

Open your heart to kindness
And let the door swing wide,
For a happier person you'll become
Releasing the joy inside!
Share what God has given
By offering a helping hand;
Soon you'll discover blessings
Multiply like grains of sand.
Invite a friend for a cup of tea,
Visit some lonely soul;
Your life won't be so empty
Your cup will always be full.
A phone call might make the difference,
For it may chase away some gloom.
Flowers sent to a patient
Sure brighten a hospital room.
Spend some time with children
And you'll feel so young again.
Don't forget to mail today
That letter to a precious friend.
Open your heart to kindness
And please toss that lock away!
Frowns will suddenly turn upward
And smiles will greet the day.
