This
is a delightful book filled with photos of Ukiyo-e (woodblock prints), wall
screens, as well as many never before seen photo portraits of Samurai from the
late Meiji and early Edo period. It's interesting to see how the styles of the
samurai changed to a more western flair at the end of the Meiji period. The
dustcover of this book is of a clear plastic with the image of a young samurai
actually transposed onto the plastic rather than the cover of the book
unfortunately the scan doesn't show it well.
