A Different Kind of Hero
Hello, my name is Brooke
I go to elementary school. My
hero is Dr. Ellestad.
He lives in
Shoshone, Idaho. One year ago my body didn’t
like wheat at all.
Every time I
did eat wheat my stomach would
hurt a lot.
I had to eat a
special food
that was wheat free.
Dr. Ellestad went
to a special school
that teaches people how to make allergies go away.
After I visited him I
could eat a cheese
sandwich. Dr. Ellestad is a funny
man.
He likes to tell jokes.
Dr. Ellestad
is a different kind of hero to
me because he helped me eat wheat again.
I love Dr. Ellestad.
Brooke is a 7-year-old patient.
