First, I am a male Dom. I am extremely gay- and female-friendly, as my best friend in the world is a gay woman, and, in fact, my ex-wife. But as a male, I am writing from a somewhat unique perspective. I am new to the D/s lifestyle, being introduced by a local sub friend/sometimes lover who is dealing with larger failed marriage issues. My own early struggles have dealt with My own unique ways of power and domination, which are more gentle and sensitive. Many subs with whom I have on-line friendships have cited this as an unusual trait, and a strong attraction. But I have always been concerned that in r/l (which I wish to do, but not until I am more learned) this would not translate to those same feelings from them. This site has not only validated that it can indeed, it has shown Me for the first time that this characteristic can not only be utilized, but celebrated. So thank you for what so far in my short (3 months) journey has touched My core as much as the entire D/s framework itself. Be well.
