Declarative knowledge
SS will acquire:

factual knowledge concerning the country or
countries in which the language is spoken such as significant events which
occurred in US during a year time, new inventions and trends which developed
there and spread throughout Europe (knowledge of the world);

knowledge of the society and culture of the
community or communities in which English language is spoken, mainly related to
everyday living, living conditions, interpersonal relations, major values
(sociocultural knowledge);

knowledge, awareness and understanding of the
relation between the “world of origin” and the “world of target community”
(intercultural awareness)
SS
will develop a self-awareness relative to their own:

attitudes towards new experiences, other
persons, ideas, societies and cultures;
