3/4 Nelson
3/4 Nelson is one of our premier punk bands from Wyoming.  Rock Springs should be lucky that such talent exist in their town.  3/4 Nelson has caught some flack from other bands near and far, but they do what they want.  The band has been around for about 6 years, only going through a couple of lineup changes.  Originally the band consisted of JJ Nelson as lead vocals and guitar, Flansburg as backup vocals and guitar, Charlie Sanchez as bass and nudity, and Mike Burns as drums and at times backup vocals.   Now they are a three peice that rocks out like nobodies buisness.  Now with the addition of Ozzy Tuft at bass the new line up can be seen at shows around the local area.  They have recorded two records which have never been released by a major label.  The first album entitled "3/4 Nelson Go to the Office" was recorded with Flansburg and Sanchez still in the lineup.  The record was released locally and all tapes were bought fairly quickly.  The second album was recorded in Las Vegas at Digital Insight.  Mike and Charlie decided to go to Las Vegas and meet JJ and record an album, even though they had not seen each other in six months.  If lucky you may hear their second album that is out, (sort of), on Peace Punk Producshuns.  3/4 Nelson is a high enough caliber band that they have opened and played with such bands as:
The Fairlanes, Pinhead Circus, The Nobodies, The Lillingtons, and 86ed.
I highly recomend that each and every person should attend a 3/4 Nelson show, or you will not have lived a complete life.
