AN: It's another fanfic! I had to throw out three ideas before emerging

with this, so I really hope that you like it! Please R and R -read and

review. I also really hope no one owns this legend, because then I would

have to write a disclaimer. *Answers phone* I hate lawyers. Anyway, I don't

own digimon, I don't own the legend, I don't own Wallace in the movie.

Walter is not based on Wallace! I didn't hear about him till season 2.

Well, read!

Part 1

The Magical Flutist

"So, what are you doing tonight?" Asked T.K. to Kari.

"Well, I was thinking about going on a date with you and standing up

Davis since it's 8:00 now..." Said Kari slyly.

"Good idea!" Said T.K. They decided to date at the restaurant on Oak

Street (yes, I know that Japan may not have an Oak Street).

Tai walked in on them. "Is this a good time to say that Joe lent me one

of his room bugs?"

Kari threw a pillow at him.

Tai smiled. "I'm going off to Sora's tonight. We're going to have a

blast! I even rented a video game for us to play!"

T.K. sighed. "This is why you've had ten girlfriends before digiworld,

and 3 afterwards before getting back with Sora!"

Tai threw a pillow at him.

Matt came in to the Kimiya apartment. "Hey, no pillows at my brother." He

threw a pillow at Tai. This erupted into a pillow fight.

Clearing off the feathers, Matt announced that he would be at the concert

hall that night giving a, well, concert!

Sora walked in, and threw a pillow at Tai.

"Tai, you forgot my birthday!"

"Your birthday is 2 months from now." Said Tai.

"No it isn't!"

As Tai tried to defend himself, everyone laughed.

Julia suddenly walked in. "Hi! I'm in town. I'm giving a concert at the

concert stadium tonight. Does anyone want to show up?

Everyone said no.

Needless to say, another pillowfight erupted.

***

Izzy threw his sleeping bag into a room.

"So Walter, does this soundproof room really work?"

"That's what we're finding out. You see, when people go to sleep near

loud noises, or even very soft noises, they usually get less sleeping time

and less rest. I'm testing with you to see if going to sleep with no noises

compared to very soft noises can have a positive effect on the mind not just

for rest but if it actually increases intelligence, or if it does nothing."

Said Walter.

***

Joe kicked off his schools. Medical college was hard. He was 20 now,

and finding that the college really only graduated the best. As in the top

10%.

He opened a book. He estimated he'd be done at 10:00 P.M. Oh well.

***

"Yolei! Time for dinner!"

"Yeah yeah mom. One sec." Yolei didn't really want to go to dinner, but

she knew her mom would make her. She gulped it done and then went back to

her computer to write a program.

"Yolei! Want some cake!"

Yolei was so engrossed in her work that she didn't even hear her.

***

Mimi stepped aboard Japan Air 013. She went into seat A1. She relaxed.

They were leaving for Odiaba, and expected to show up around the next day

at 6:00. P.M.

Across the aisle a well shaved man relaxed. Feet up. Chair back.

Gun at waist hidden in coat.

Digiworld teleporter in a hidden pocket.

***

Ken's anger had been steadily growing at the digidestined. Right now he

hated them more than ever, as they had just destroyed another control spire.

He sat at his computer, thinking. He knew that he was in trouble. His

production was just barely ahead of destruction. He didn't know what to do.

He tapped a few commands, and was sent back to the real world for some

serious thinking.

***

Cody swung his kendo stick. Hard. Crack! He broke a board.

Cody enjoyed his kendo lessons. He was even entered in a kendo

competition! "After all, I never will know when I have to use it." He said

to himself. The competition ended at 10:00 P.M.

***

Davis was on the nighttime soccer field. The game would go to 10:00.

He couldn't wait!

***

Piedmon entered town in a traveling musician disguise. He waited until

9:00 P.M. Then everything would be ready.

He had used his spies to learn exactly where the digidestined were. Tai

and Sora would still be on a date. Matt and Julia were giving concerts. Ken

had come back. Davis was on the soccer field. Cody was in a kendo

competition. T.K. and Kari were also on dates. He didn't know where Izzy,

Walter, Yolei, Joe, and Mimi were, but he didn't care. 9/14 would be good

anyway.

He took out his flute and began to play. It still worked. Now he had to

get everywhere the digidestined were.

***

Tai and Sora and T.K. and Kari were double dating. They were at a very

expensive place.

A flutist came up to the mini stage at the back of the restaurant. He

quietly took off the CD. He started to play.

Tai had just begun to kiss Sora when the music started. They all froze.

Then they all got up and left, along with the other teens and kids in the

restaurant. They stood in the street.

Waiting.

***

Matt and Julia had changed their agendas a bit so they could play at the

same concert hall. They began to sing as their bands played.

A flutist ran up to the microphone, shoved Julia away, and began to play

as everyone else stopped playing in horror.

Matt and the other teens and kids froze.

Then they all silently left the concert hall and went with the flutist.

Back to the restaurant. With the others.

***

Ken, who was good at kendo himself, entered the stadium. Cody had been

crowned the champion.

The announcer yelled. "But wait! Another competitor just showed up! Can

he beat the best?!"

Ken and Cody were equally matched They fenced. And fenced. And fenced.

Suddenly, a flutist appeared on the floor. He played a few notes.

And everyone in the stadium that was under 20, including Ken and Cody,

walked wordlessly out.

***

Davis was running for the score that would win the game. He dodged. He

shot. He made it!

The stadium erupted into cheers.

Davis ran over to his teammates and was hoisted up. Someone turned on a

T.V. so they could see the instant replay.

Suddenly, a flutist somehow appeared at the T.V. station and managed to

override the networks with his playing.

Resulting in the entire field, plus most of the other kids in Obiada,

wandering off.

Part 2

The Chase

Joe heard a flute outside, but was unaffected because he was old enough.

Yolei was to engrossed in her work to feel the pie her mother threw at

her for not listening to her, much less a flute.

Izzy and Walter were locked in a soundproof laboratory.

Mimi was, well, not feeling well. Some guy had hijacked the plane. She

had been standing up, so she was thrown into the cockpit by the barreling

man. She was struggling with the man, when he dropped his digiworld

transporter. Mimi stepped on it, and they were barreling through Vademon's

universe.

Anyway, Joe heard the police cars. And more police cars. On looking

out, he saw cars from every district that he knew of. And some that he

didn't.

He stepped out, and was grabbed by a policeman. He learned that he was

probably the youngest person in the district. Everyone else had vanished.

He went inside, and started phoning. Tai was gone. Kari was gone. So

were the Ishida brothers. Etc.

When he got to Yolei, his call got on call waiting and trashed her

Internet connection. Fuming, she took it, and was briefed. They couldn't

get any other digidestined, so they went to the local lab to go to the

digiworld.

When they got there, they found it locked. They also found it

soundproof. Joe managed to pick the lock-and found Walter and Izzy asleep on

the floor.

After waking them up, they briefed the two. They all stood up, got to

the computer, and activated it.

Digi-port open!

When in the digiworld, as Izzy was the youngest and could still he

remember the story, he pointed out that the Pied Piper took the kids to a

magic mountain were they were never heard from again.

They decided to go to Infinity Mt. That was their best bet, according to

legend. They started the trek.

Meanwhile...

The city was in chaos now that Joe and Yolei were gone too. Some

important person got on the official phone to city officials and relieved

them of all duties to find the kids.

Needless to say, a power plant overheated with noone to watch it. Boom.

Now they were short kids and power. And a flight from New York seemed to

have vanished on the high seas. Some foreign negotiator called with an

urgent message from some terrorist organization claiming to have gotten the

kids, even though they hadn't. Sadly, noone in Obiada had a clue whether or

not they did. This resulted in the Prime Minister traveling abroad for

negotiations and the police searching. This resulted in total chaos.

But anyway, Joe and friends made it to Infinity Mt. They started to

climb, but Joe was easily the most fit. On discovering a tunnel network with

stairs and such, Joe said. "Well, why don't you guys take the tunnel. I'll

climb and distract our flutist, and you sneak up and destroy the flute. I

bet that that holds the power, not the flutist him or herself."

The plan actually started to work. After a few hours of grueling

climbing, Joe surfaced. The other kids were just standing around. Joe

approached Tai.

"Hey man. The others at home are worried about you." Said Joe.

"I know. We all know. We just don't want to leave, for reasons that I

don't quite grasp." Said Tai.

Rolling his eyes, Joe talked to the other digidestined. Same story.

They all could physically leave, but they didn't want to.

Piedmon appeared on the other side of the mountain, and realized that Joe

wasn't supposed to have shown up yet. He charged.

To cut a long story short, Joe managed to stay alive long enough for Izzy

and the other geniuses to steal the flute. At that moment, Piedmon dropped

his swords and flung a handkerchief, turning Joe into a keychain.

Izzy, Walter, and Yolei slowly backed away from Piedmon until they had

nowhere to go but off a cliff. They did not want to do that. Things looked

pretty bad.

Meanwhile...

Mimi was tiring very fast as she struggled with the man. The man's coat

had fallen off, revealing him to be Jim (AN: Well, who else do you think I

would make the hijacker? Jim's my villain and June, though I haven't used

her, will be my villianess.) Jim was obviously much stronger than Mimi, and

frankly, Mimi couldn't figure out how she held out even this long.

They were now rapidly descending to Infinity Mt., and were going to

crash. Mimi kept trying to grab the stick, but Jim kept pushing her arm

away. The mountain loomed ever closer, and it would be difficult to save the

plane, let alone the other kids.

Uh-oh.

Part 3

Airlift

Piedmon flung a handkerchief. Walter and Izzy stumbled off the cliff.

Yolei dodged.

Not really having any other options, Walter grabbed a rope and threw it

around a rock on the mountain. Amazingly, it caught.

Izzy continued to free-fall. Then...

"Need a lift?" Said Kabuterymon catching Izzy. They got Walter and flew

up to help out.

Mimi broke free and pulled the control stick up. The plane actually got

close enough to the cliff for Yolei to throw the flute through a large hole

in the windshield before being hit.

Izzy and Walter jumped off of Kabuterymon and landed on the wing of the

plane. They crawled along until they saw a door in front of them. They

broke in and ran into the cockpit.

The flute was rolling away and actually fell out the open door. It

bounced off the wing and...

"What's this?" Wondered Kabuterymon grabbing it. "Hmmm..."

He thought that it might be some electrical appliance, so he shocked it.

As the plastic shreds drifted down, all the kids seemed to wake up-and

see a plane doing crazy loop-de-loops in the sky.

"What the-" Tai stared up at the airplane.

Inside the plane...

Jim brought out his broadsword and swung the others back (AN: No, he

didn't throw them, he slashed and they all jumped back.) Jim raised his sword

high over his head, and as he was on the control panel, through the hole in

the window.

This wouldn't have mattered, but Piedmon had been standing there for

quite some time. He had been waiting for one person to have defeated the

others, so he would only have to defeat one person.

Slash.

Piedmon stumbled back, giving Kabuterymon a clear shot.

As Piedmon slowly vanished, Joe and Yolei appeared in the cockpit. Joe

brought out his crowbar and managed to overwhelm Jim. Jim fell unconscious.

Actually, he fell through the pilot's door and took a very long drop.

Joe brought the plane down. After landing, they decided that the plane

could not even make it down the mountain. Thus they had to get all the

passengers out and, along with the other kids, take them through the tunnel

system. They then were able to be sent back through a portal.

And when they all got home, the five were quite heroes.

Another spectacular victory for the digidestined.

The End

AN: I know the the Piper takes the kids through a mountain, but that

wouldn't tie in to the plot. And anyway, I wrote it for fun. So, please

read and review!
