AN: Hi. Well, here's another fic. Hope you like it. This one is a two
part fic, and the whole thing warps Matt, Izzy, Kari, and Mimi most of all.
It does change some of the others. Jim's the same as always in my stories.
Yes-he's back! You'll finally find out what he did ever so long ago.
Oh, in the event that I don't finish my stories before August 17, I will
not change my stories because of the event.
Disclaimer: Taoi decided to dump my offer to buy it, so I don't own
digimon. Oh well. I own Julia and Walter. Please ask to use 'em.
Part 1
It's War!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Tai and the others dropped to the ground as they left the park. Smoke
filled the air. When it cleared, a nearby building was smoking. It was
wrecked.
Kari was visibly shocked. "War started already? I have to hurry!" She
ran off.
"Kari! Wait!" Tai called after her as she left.
Izzy, Matt, and Mimi all took off in various directions. Joe ran towards
the studio. Walter ran in the direction of the high school.
The remainder dashed into a nearby building. In the lobby of the
building (a pharmacy) there was a T.V.
"Vampires have declared war on a general of Wizards, who is hiding in the
Obida area. 8 year old Kari Kimiya is this general, reliable sources tell
us. Matt Ishida, age 13, and Izzy Izumi, age 10, are her direct assistants
10 year old Mimi Tachikwa is the general of the Wizardmon army. We have one
of our best reporters setting up an interview right now." Said the reporter.
"Meanwhile, the mass murderer that blew up an elementary school four
years ago, has delivered a note threatening to do it again. Joe Kido,
reporter, reveals that this bomber may be his brother. This evidence has not
been verified." The reporter continued.
While setting up a set for Mimi, Joe remembered that day.

BOOM.
"Ahhh!" Kids screamed.
The fifth grade graduation was a blast. Quite literally.
Joe saw Jim calmly drop his detonator and leave. Joe started attending
to the wounded kids.
He never saw Jim the same way again.

The kids stared. They had guessed what Jim had done.
Tai broke the silence. "Well, now we know where are friends are."
Sora spoke. "But... Do we really know what they'll do to each other to
win? Everything is pointing to a Kari vs. Mimi confrontation."
Tai smiled. "Everything will be fine. Kari and Mimi wouldn't do that."
On T.V., the interview was on.
"Yes, before you ask, I will not let friendship stand in the way of war.
Kari will die, or I will die. One is inevitable. Guess which I prefer."
Mimi said.
"Friendship, you've known Kari, or friendship, Matt Ishida's crest?"
Asked Joe.
"Both." Was the curt reply.
While the interview continued, the digidestined stared at each other.
"Does this mean that Kari and Mimi don't like us anymore?" Asked T.K.,
his innocent voice full of tears."
"I hope not." Said Sora.
"Let's get to Heighton." Said Julia. She was twisting her finger
nervously around a strand of hair, her lucky hat laying in her lap.
They ran off towards Heighton View Terrace.
Part 2
You're Under Arrest
When they got there, they saw a battle raging over it. By now, school
was out, so they saw kids staring at the battle.
Wizardmons and vampires were firing weapons in the air. Wizardmons used
their Thunder Punch, and vampires attacked using a Vampire Beam.
Several blasts collided in midair. The explosion slammed right in to
Heighton.
The top half of Heighton was leveled. The digidestined kids ran up the
stairway as fast as they could.
When they got to the level of Tai's apartment, they could go no farther.
The roof was blown out, and Tai could see some of the battle. Tai's father
crawled out from beneath the coffee table.
"Oh, I'm so glad you're here. Julia's parents were here having coffee
with us on the balcony. I went in for a second, and then the world seemed to
blow up. The balcony fell down." He gasped out.
A dead vampire troop fell through the ceiling. The battle appeared to be
leaning towards the Wizardmon, and eventually the remaining vampires flew
off. The Wizardmon chased them into the distance.
The T.V. was turned on by Julia. They crowded around it. Joe was on the
news--but he was missing his tag and crest.
"Well, folks, the long and short is, Obida is in trouble. The vampires
are greatly outnumbered. Yet, the Wizardmon troops are missing their head
technician Izzy, who has vanished. Plus, Walter, their second in science, is
working on perfecting the crest-gun. The crests are possessed only by the
ten digidestined, of which I am one of. I exchanged mine for permission to
interview general Kari." Joe spoke.
"The vampires are evil, and they will be exterminated." Kari said.
"What do you think? Will they? Sub-general Matt's plan is to capture
the remaining digidestined, excepting Mimi, of course, and get their crests
peacefully or violently, whichever suits the situation. We are live at Tai
Kimiya's apartment where the raid is about to take place!" Joe said. It was
strange how he could look so serious and sound so funny.
The door blew in. Mr. Kimiya dashed into his bedroom. Matt was holding
a blaster and was looking extremely serious.
"Come with me, you four. All of you. Don't think that I won't shoot."
To illustrate his point, he just grazed T.K. with his blaster.
Surrendering, the digidestined were taken to Wizardmon prison. Joe
followed, reporting and recording.
Part 3
Escape!
The digidestined were stripped of their tags and crests, and told to wait
in a cell.
Matt journeyed down to see them.
"Hello, gang. Guess what? We've managed to trade you to the vampires in
exchange for our own troops!" Said Matt. "Come on, let's move it."
The group was trooped to another jail.
"That's it. What are you doing this for?!" Cried Tai.
The vampire guard warned Tai to watch his tongue. When Tai yelled at
him, the vampire smiled cruelly.
"Take him away." He told two guards, gesturing to T.K. "Give him the
treatment. See how that boy likes it."
Screaming, T.K. was led away. Tai and the others were thrown (quite
literally) into jail.
T.K. returned in an hour. His face was deathly white. He was a vampire.
Tai and the others recoiled. T.K. glanced at them, and started to cry.
Sora walked over to him, and asked what was wrong.
"You're stereotyping like everyone else in Obida! The Wizardmon are
killing us just because of who we are, and now even you recoil at the sight
of me! I wouldn't bite you guys!"
Tai responded. "Oh. Heh. Heh. It's not that. We just aren't used to
seeing vampires this closely."
Suddenly, the ceiling gave way. Joe and Jim fell in. A broadsword and a
crowbar fell next to them. The digidestined gasped.
Jim smiled. "Hey, we're all on the same side now anyway. I won't kill
you while we're busting out of jail! We might need you!"
Joe rolled his eyes and stepped over to the door. He started to pick the
lock.
Jim shook his head. "No. Try this." He brought out his broadsword and
swiped the lock off. The door swung open. They walked out.
The guard at the desk had a sword through his heart before he knew what
had hit him. They all fled. Joe and Jim put their cloaks on and melted off
into the shadows. The rest of the digidestined wandered away.
They eventually decided to go to Sora's house. Midway, by the high
school, Sora went to check on Walter. She said that she had a shortcut to
her house. The rest of the digidestined took off and went straight to Sora's
house. They turned on the news. Joe was on again.
"Recently, in a bombing just like the one four years ago committed by my
brother, the high school seems to have gone boom. Sora Takenochi and Walter
Snyde were found in the wreckage and taken to a local emergency hospital--the
community service center."
(AN: In this story, the high school, T.V. station, and community service
center [CSS] are next to each other. I know this isn't right, but I need it
to be right).
T.K. gasped. "Tai, can I go see Sora and Walter? I'm worried about them.
If the building collapses in an explosion, I might be able to pull them to
safety!"
Tai eyed T.K. "Are you sure that you're strong enough?"
T.K. grabbed Tai, and flew into the air. Tai gasped.
"Point taken. Can we go down?" He asked, thoroughly shaken.
T.K. let Tai down and ran out the door.

T.K. dashed to the CSS and quickly found Sora and Walter on the top
floor. He stared at their unmoving bodies, tears forming in his eyes.
"Please be all right, I hope that you're all right..." He murmured.
His crest glowed. The light surrounded Walter and Sora. When it
vanished, they were perfectly healthy.
Suddenly, the building shook from an explosion. They were thrown into a
wall. The roof was on fire.
Sora picked up T.K. and held him close. "I'll protect you from the light."
T.K. was shocked that Sora would do that to him, he being a vampire. He
began to cry.
Suddenly, a shot sent the top level flying into the ground. Except that
the ground fell away.
There was a hidden circular pipe -- extremely large -- in the ground.
The floor smashed on the edge of it. The walls crumbled. They were all
falling individually.
T.K. flew around. Where were Sora and Walter?
