| I must explain a project that I've been working on. It's called TALAKAR, and it was inspired by reading J.R.R. Tolkien, with his creation of a detailed world, with the telling of its history through both narrative and poetry. Wishing to attempt something along the same style, with a slight twist, I created my own little world, so far only a continent, but with multiple cities, each with their own history and being part of a whole history. I decided, though, to tell the tale of this continent using only poetry. Each poem contains a story of an event that happened in the lands and ultimately is linked together with the remaining poems. The poetry I have thus far by no means tells all that is to be told, but of some key events that have occurred throughout the history of the continent Talakar.
