| DAY 3 - PART 2 |
| It was 6 o clock and Harry was itching to get out. He had been cooped up inside all day, reading his book. But of course Jeff dared not leave the hotel; Bud had said hed stop by, so there was no way hed let himself disappear and miss out on this opportunity. They ordered room service for dinner, and they sat down to eat; discussing trivial day-to-day things, and every now and then Jeff would slip in a comment about Bud and how excited he was. Right after dinner, Harry washed up and grabbed his jacket. Well, Jeff, I cannot stay in this hotel room any longer or Im gonna go bloody insane. Figured Id go on one of them bus sight-seeing tours or something. All right, Dad. Have a good time. I hope I dont see you later, he said with a grin to his father. Harry smiled back, Hope I dont see you either, mate. And Harry opened the door of their room and left. Jeff remained on the sofa watching TV; not really paying attention to the shows, but rather thinking about him. And then he started flipping channels and came across the news channel, which immediately made him focus on what was airing. This is a scene that happened earlier this afternoon at First National Bank; where a group of men attempted to hold it up. But fortunately with the help of the LAPDs top officers, the robbery was thwarted. Among the officers was Bud White. And then the newscast cut to a previously recorded interview with Officer Bud White. Jeff was tranced seeing him on TV giving the interview. He looked especially sexy on the screen. Jeff could feel himself growing in his pants. He tugged at his jeans with pleasure. Jeff watched the news channel until that story was completely over; making sure he saw all the Bud they were going to show. And then, when he could not take the waiting anymore, he hopped off the sofa and went to the bathroom and shut the door behind him; desperately needing to relieve his tension. ~~~~~ 7:30 strolled by and Jeff still lounged on the couch watching TV. He had already brushed his teeth in preparation; now just waiting with anxious tenacity. The later it loomed into the evening, the more worried he got. But he kept trying to reassure himself that Bud probably just has a lot to wrap up with the robbery case and all. And then the phone rang. Jeff leaped off the sofa with mighty youthful vigor. With his head flooded with young lust and impatience, he misjudged his landing and tripped over his own feet. He nearly fell into the coffee table, but was able to brace himself with his hands to prevent a disaster. He ran ( 3 steps ) to the phone and yanked it off its hook and thrust it to his ear and mouth. Hello, he said with such enthusiasm, his blood coursing through his veins like a raging river. Hey, Jeff. Its me, Bud, the voice at the other end of the phone said. And Jeff nearly dropped the phone in surprise, even though he was completely expecting it to be him on the other end. He repositioned the phone back to his ear and mouth, ....Oh...hey, mate...hows it going? he fumbled about with his words. Fine, just fine. Get everything wrapped up with that bank robbery? Yeah...well, theres more paperwork of course, but that can be done tomorrow. Well, Im glad to know youre okay. It sorta had me worried; you having to go into the line of duty like that. Then I saw something on the news and knew you were fine, Jeff said, practically spilling his emotions for the man. Yep, Im okay. And then there was silence for just a brief moment; but seemed uncomfortably long to Jeff. Anyway, I figured Id stop by to pick you up in just a bit, since our conversation got interrupted earlier today. Okay, Jeff felt relieved that Bud wanted to see him again. It was almost positive to him that Bud had like him back. It did seem too good to true, and never before had Jeff met someone so easily like this. Well, I could probably be there in 20. Is that good for you? Bud asked respectfully. Yeah, mate, sounds great. Okay, then, cya soon. Yea.... And the conversation went to silence; Jeff still holding the phone to his ear, still too tranced to let it go just yet. But when it switched to dial-tone, Jeff slowly hung it up. He smiled to himself and then went about, getting ready for his date. He went to the mirror and fixed his hair and fluffed his shirt, trying to get it to lay just right around his body. He unbuttoned another button and then posed, he cocked his head with insecurity and then decided that that was just too much, so he buttoned it back up one. And then he brushed his jeans, making sure they were smooth and didnt bunch up too much in the crotch. And after he was confident in the way he looked, he exited the room and headed down to the lobby to wait for his man. Jeff lounged against the wall, near the entrance to the hotel. Hazel was working the main desk again this night, which Jeff wondered why, because she said she had the day off today. Hazel looked up and saw Jeff standing there and walked over to him. Hey, Jeff. Howd it go with that police thing? Just fine. Filled out some paperwork and stuff. No biggie, Jeff responded. Oh... I thought you had the day off today, Jeff then said. Oh, yea. I was supposed to, but someone called off, so joy, here I am. Oh, well. I could use the extra hours anyway, Hazel responded. Jeff gazed out the door, not intentionally meaning to be rude towards Hazel, but he was so damn anxious and needed to keep his head clear and collective. So.... what you up to tonight, Jeff? Jeff turned his head back to look at her, Not sure actually. Being picked up by a friend. Dont know where were going. A friend picking you up? You know someone here in L.A.? she asked. Well...actually, we just met for the first time really today. Its kind of weird I know, but... Jeff started going off, but hesitated. Well, hey...might as well have as much fun as possible during your vacation here. Just then, the entrance doorway of the hotel opened and Bud came walking through. He saw Jeff waiting there and smiled. Hey, Jeff. And he walked up to him and extended his hand. Jeff returned the handshake, Gevening, mate. Bud held his smile, and then looked at Hazel and nodded his head, Miss. Hello, she responded. Well, shall we go? Im not interrupting anything am I? Bud asked. Jeff hesitated on his response, not really wanting to put off Hazel. They were having a conversation, but of course there wasnt any way hed miss a night out with Officer White. Yeah, Im all ready to go. And then Jeff turned to Hazel, Ill talk to you later, Hazel. Okay, cya later, Jeff. Have fun. And Hazel went back to the main desk. Bud turned and walked out the door, Jeff following right behind him with a spring in his step, and a twinkle in his eye. Bud was still wearing his suit, but didnt have the jacket on at all; just his shirt and tie. Jeff could see his tank top underneath the fabric of the dress shirt, which turned him on greatly. And he stared at his ass as he walked in front of him, chuckling to himself with the secret perv. Whats that? Bud asked, upon hearing some noise coming from Jeff, even though he couldnt even distinguish that it was a chuckle. Oh nothing. Was just thinking about something and chuckling to myself, replied Jeff with a smirk on his face, not afraid to hide back any emotion with his facial expressions because Bud wasnt even looking at him. Okay. Say, where we going tonight, mate? Jeff asked as Bud circled around to the drivers side of his vehicle. He opened the door and looked over the top of the car at Jeff, Youll know when we get there, now wont you? He said with a half-ass smile, trying to be clever and tricky. And then he climbed in the seat. Jeff smiled to himself and opened his door and got in and buckled up. Bud started the car and put it into gear and drove off into the street. ~~~~~ The first part of the drive was mainly silence. Jeff desperately wanted to make small talk to get to know him better, but was having trouble finding the right conversation starter. So instead of talking, he just flashed memories through his mind of all the previous encounters he had with Bud. And for some reason he kept focusing on how Detective Exley would always call him Bud. It seemed like a strange name to have; almost like a nickname even. Bud.... Yeah, Bud said, turning his head to look at Jeff for a second, then back to the road in front of him, but still keeping an ear open. I was just thinking, Ive never heard anyone with the first name of Bud before. Dont get me wrong, its a nice name, I was just wondering if.... And then Bud finished his sentence, if Bud was my real name? And he looked back over at Jeff. Jeff didnt know how to take it; thought maybe he had agitated him asking that, ...Yeah... Youre right. Its not. Bud is just a nickname I have always gone by, never liked my real name, Bud answered. Oh, Im sure its not nearly as bad as you think, mate, Jeff replied, trying to ease his friend, and patch back up any discomfort he might have brought on with this topic. Bud looked back straight and kept his left hand on the wheel and placed his right hand on the back of his head, bracing his neck, rubbing it gently, Wendell.... Jeff saw his notion; could tell how uncomfortable it made him revealing his real name. But when he heard the name, he did not cringe, he did not laugh - he smiled. Oh, mate. Theres nothing wrong with that name. I like it actually. Its a prominent name, especially for an officer. Bud ceased the rubbing on the back of his neck and put his hand back on the wheel. I dont know..... But if you want me to keep calling you Bud, I will. But dont be ashamed of your name, Jeff commented. I know...youre right....but its been so long since anyone has ever called me that. Just doesnt seem right. It went back to silence for about 5 minutes. And then Jeff spoke up again, So youre not gonna tell me where were going? I said youll know when we get there, and he looked back over at Jeff smiling, Were almost there anyway. ~~~~~ Halfway down a street that Jeff was familiar with, Bud turned down a side alley which led behind a building to a parking lot. Jeff recognized this building; L.A. Passion, the club he and Harry had went to earlier. Bud parked the car and turned the key to shut it off. He didnt unbuckle yet, nor open his door. He just sat there and then turned towards Jeff. Jeff....I......, and then he stopped. Bud didnt quite know how to get the words out of his mouth. Bud,....... I know what this place is. In fact, I was here just last night. Bud looked up with a glint in his eye, Oh... you were here last night. So then you know... I had suspected, yes.... But how did you know? Jeff said, extremely happy that what he had thought about Bud turned out to be correct. I mean, Ive never met anyone this easily. It seems almost too easy, yknow? I know what you mean. Its not easy. Youre the first one to know. No one, especially in the force..knows... Bud revealed, near breakdown. Jeff was surprised to see such a gentle side to him. He always acted so tough before. You mean...youve never.... before? No, Bud said looking into Jeffs eyes, Youre the first. Wow... Jeff said, and he sunk into his seat, overwhelmed that Bud had chosen him to open up this way. But...how did you know, why me? I dont know exactly. But at the airport, I saw you in the corner of my eye. You definitely caught my attention; looks and all. Jeff started to blush. Bud continued, And I know this sounds narcistic, but it seemed like you were checking me out too. I was checking you out, mate. You werent seeing something that wasnt there. And so I went for it. Actually it was Fate it seems, that I was able to use the case I was working on to bring you down to the station to see if I was right, Bud said, revealing his motives of his previous actions. Well, Im glad you did, mate. I tell ya. I couldnt stop thinking about you since I saw you. Bud then began to blush. He was still uncomfortable about how to act around another man since hed never been with anyone, so he brought back his tough exterior that he knew so well, Well... we best be going. And he unbuckled his seat belt and opened the door and got out. Jeff sat there a moment watching Bud leave the car; sitting to himself reveling in his joy. ~~~~~ They sat down at the bar and ordered a couple drinks. Neither talked, but just looked around at the atmosphere of the place. The bartender brought over their beers. Slight small talked ensued as they sat there; just learning a thing or two about each other. Bud had Jeff do most of the talking, since he didnt know anything about him: his profession and his homeland. Jeff went off into detail about Australia. He really loved it back home; especially how open things were when it came to gays. Bud was impressed and surprised. After they shared a little about each other, Bud offered, Why dont we go shoot a game of billiards. All right. And the two went over to an unattended pool table. Bud racked up the balls and let Jeff break. They continued their process of getting to know each other while they played. Game after game they played, having fun being around each other. Bud checked the clock after some time and noticed it was a little after 1 AM. Oh, man. Its getting late. I have to be at the office at 9 tomorrow. Well, dont let me keep you from your job, mate. I dont mind. I had fun tonight. Me too... Bud said. ~~~~~ And they left the club and Bud drove Jeff back to his hotel. He walked him up to his room. They paused just outside the door. I really had a great time with you, mate, Jeff said looking into Buds eyes. Thanks. My pleasure, Jeff. Bud stood there, not wanting to leave just yet. He figured something should happen before he did. Jeff could sense the tension in Bud, so he broke the silence, Will I get to see you again? Youd better, he smiled, I should get off around 5. Ill give you a call and come pick you up again. Ill look forward to it, I promise, Jeff said with a grin. They still remained standing there. Jeff didnt want to go inside and Bud didnt want to walk away. And Jeff knew Bud probably wouldnt do it, so he instigated it, Bud..... Id really like to kiss you. He didnt respond with words, still a little too shy about it. Bud tugged at his tie which was tight around his neck, and loosened it a bit. Jeff stepped forward slowly and grasped his tie. He pulled on it ever so gently and pulled Bud in towards him. And Jeff leaned his face in and placed his lips softly against Buds. He traced Buds bottom lip with is own and then sucked on it gently. Bud let his tough act go out the window and fell into the kiss, letting his first time consume him. And then Bud forced his tongue into Jeffs mouth. Jeff could feel the anxiousness in his actions and laughed in his heart, knowing it was his first time and to excuse all and any brash actions of his. Normally Jeff would love to take the kissing further and longer, but since it was their first date, Jeff eased off. He looked into Buds eyes. I will wait with excited breaths until 5 tomorrow. All right. I will see you later then. Gnight, mate. Good night, Jeff. And Bud slowly turned around and began walking down the hall. Jeff leaned against the door and sighed. Oh my......... he said out loud to himself. And then he opened the door and went inside. ~~~~~ The room was dark except for a dim light coming from the bedroom. Jeff found his father in bed reading his book. He walked in and lounged at the doorway. Harry didnt notice he had come in. Jeff coughed to get his attention. Oh, Jeff. You scared me. Sorry, mate. How was your evening? Do that tour bus thing? Yea. I did. It was nice. Saw many a sight around L.A. But enough about me, mate. So........youre home late. I take that is a good sign. Harry said smiling at his son. Jeff rushed into the room and jumped onto his bed, flipping in the air and landing on his back. He propped his arms underneath his head. Oh, it was incredible, Dad. That good, eh? Better than I even imagined. So did you do it? Jeff looked at his father and gave him a snarling look. Tch! Come on, Dad. We just met. But we still had a nice time. You remember that club we went to last night? Harry nodded. Well, he took me there. We had a few drinks and played pool. And then just now, standing outside the hall. We kissed. It was amazing. Oh yeah? Harry was smiling, he was used to hearing intimate details about his sons life. Even though he wasnt gay himself, one would expect him to be grossed out, but Harry loved his son, and just wanted him to find true happiness. So he listened with true eagerness. And get this. He said hes never been with anyone. I was his FIRST, Jeff grinned especially wide when repeating that to his father. He was truly happy that Bud had opened up to him; made him feel special. I guess you were right then. There is something special there. You going to see him again? Yeah... tomorrow around 5. I hope you dont mind. Maybe we could do something together beforehand. Now, Jeff, dont you worry about me getting in your way. This is your birthday. If you want to spend it with him, then, mate, feel free. Jeff smiled at his dad, Thanks, mate. Youre the best dad in the world I reckon. But well have plenty of time before 5. We can do something. Sounds great. Better get to bed then. Yeah. Jeff washed up and came back to the bedroom. Harry had already put his book down. Jeff sat on the edge of his bed and reached his hand out to the lamp to turn it off. Gnight, Dad. Gnight, Jeff. |
