Hephaestus' Longblade: Man of FireForged by Loki in Hephaestus' forge, this longsword (or "longblade" as Hephaestus calls it) is made from a strange, sliver-black metal and is infused with the power of Chaos. It is nearly indestructible and is Loki's favored weapon.LongswordLiving Katana
This sword has a history all it's own, the short version is given below:Forged long ago from God-Touched sliver by a strange group of monks high in a secluded monastery. Created with the intention of slaying evil, it defended the monastery for several hundred years before being overrun by knights. The sword then became the symbol of knighthood for this kingdom.Description:The kingdom fell a few years later and the sword was lost to history until it was rediscovered by a crusading knight. He carried the sword until his death at the hands of a very evil man who claimed the blade as his own.
By this time, the original blessings given to the sword had started to wear off, the evil man who held the blade called upon his dark gods to re-bless it. This drew the attention of the original gods, now forgotten and nearly powerless, as they arrange for a champion to bring down the evil man and return the sword to goodness.
After an epic battle, the sword was freed from the evil man's grasp. The hero carried the blade until he ascended to Defender of Light and gave his soul to vanquish the darkness.
The sword was cast into the Eternal Chaos and was battered by the forces of madness until discovered by Orion, the last Defender of Chaos. He was unaware of the nature of the sword and placed it in a museum where it stayed until picked up by Loki.
Because of the dual blessings put on this sword but both light and dark, as well as the time it spent in the Eternal Chaos, this sword has achieved a kind of sentience, it is aware of it's self and knows what is going on around it.Diamond BroadswordThough not capable of wielding it's self, it can communicate with Loki thanks to a telepathy spell he worked on it.
This sword is made from a single diamond, where it came from is a mystery but all the Defenders of Chaos have wielded it.Moonstone StaffThis five-foot wood staff has a large Moonstone gem, a magical stone possessing untold magical properties, set on the top. The stone can change to form the blade of any pole weapon. In addition, it grants the wielder a kind of sixth sense about his surroundings allowing them to see the locations of everyone around them.Moonstone BladeA Moonstone gem carved into the shape of a short, curved dagger. This blade also has the ability to shift into any melee weapon the wielder knows how to use. Although it can't shift to very large or very small weapons, this ability is still quite powerful.Boot KnifeA simple steel combat knife. About two and a half inches long. Loki was wearing it when he was chosen, though he had forgotten about it at the time.
