NPC: Madrona Lucas - Duncan's Mom, 44. Very kind and sweet, a housewife. She's like those moms on old 80's shows. Wonderful cook. Taught Duncan to treat all women like sisters and with the utmost respect.
Adelio Lucas - Duncan's dad, 48. Superdad. He was usually working, but when he was home, he was a trip and a half. Every Saturday he'd take the family out to do something fun.
Juliet Lucas - Duncan's younger sister, 17. Ever since she was born, Duncan has been taking care of her. She's very weak and frail, and somewhat of a scapegoat among other kids her age. Juliet was Duncan's main "Damsel in Distress" while he lived in Boston, and he still writes to her all the time.
Personality: Duncan is completely neurotic when it comes to pleasing people. He must be everything to everyone, and make all the people happy all the time. He'll stop at absolutely nothing if he thinks he can help someone, even if it means working himself to the bone and making himself sick.
Though very outgoing, when a someone starts getting 'friendly' with him, Duncan usually freezes up completely. This seems rather strange, when even the slightest show of affection scares him, yet he can wax poetic for hours upon hours about his 'lady fair' (Corby - -;;). Of course, the second she ever walks by, he'll just shut up, blush slightly, and watch her.
Due to his 'princely' nature, and his habit of ending up in fights with every other person of the male sex on campus, he doesn't have many male friends. In fact, the only people who are nice to him are the females and gay guys, all of which flock to him.
All in all, he's a very kind and dedicated guy, chivalrous to the point that he's risk his life for a complete stranger. (Note: I know this really SUCKS as a personality, but I can't think of another way to describe it, so... I guess right now what I'm asking is what I can do to make it better. ^^;;)
Duncan also has the bad habit of slipping into Shakespearean speech a lot of the time, especially when he gets really heroic.
History on Earth: Duncan had a fairly happy childhood, very normal. He was born and grew up in Boston, MA. As he grew, old relatives died, new ones were born, friends came and gone, the usual. He'd spent all his school years working on saving everyone in trouble in the school. Come graduation, his work was done, and he had no one else left to save.
So he was pretty much bored. Then he got a letter from Palomar Collage in San Diego. It was the perfect opportunity. Meet new people, save more damsels in distress, and plus, he was always felt drawn there for some reason. (Could it be -*GASP*- the fact that the other senshi/knights were there?!) So he packed his bags, said his farewells, and it was off to collage for him.
He is now in his first year at Palomar collage, and is quickly building his reputation as a Knight in Shining Armor, as well as a still growing dislike for Xanthus Somnium (To which he refers to as "Faux Prince").
Duncan has known that he was the Knight of Swords since he was 15, when he found the Ace of Swords on his way home from school. The card was wet, wrinkled, practically ruined, and laying in the gutter on a rainy day.
Knight Pershon Info Crud-
History on Major Arcana: Did the Knight of Swords help the senshi? The question would more accurately be: Did he do anything ELSE? He was ALWAYS helping the senshi, AND every other goddamn person on the planet. He was a workaholic. If someone was in trouble, BAM! He would be there as fast as he possibly could (None of that "arriving at the last minute" stuff for him. All it takes is .5 seconds for a mage to kill someone, even a minute late is far too late for him).
Ever since he had met her, he had been in love with Sailor Death/Corby. However, being that he's outgoing in all things EXCEPT love, Duncan never said anything. He simply dedicated himself to protecting HER in particular, not willing to fully drop everything else and dedicate himself only to her, for fear that she would find out his love and reject him. That would kill him.
So he simply watched her from afar.
Eventually, though, Duncan managed to muster up enough courage to confess his feelings for her.
This was on the exact day the Knight of Pentacles arrived. He thought there was something wrong about that man, but never suspected that Corby would be in love with him until later that day, while walking through the castle gardens, taking a short cut to Corby's room.
Heading in the exact opposite direction was Corby and Sailor Tower, the two were talking and hadn't noticed Duncan yet.
Now, Duncan had only built up enough courage to talk to Sailor Death about his love. But with someone ELSE present? So what did Duncan do?
Hide behind the closest tree and pray that neither noticed him.
As they walked by he heard part of their conversation. He really hadn't meant to, as he was raised against such things, but when he heard the word "Love" from Corby, he couldn't help but listen a little.
He heard her talking to Sailor Tower about the Knight of Pentacles... And how much she loved him already.
Duncan was completely and totally crushed.
Once the two had passed, he returned home. He didn't leave the house for days after that. When he came back there was trouble brewing. It was maybe a day or two away from the split of the senshi. When it happened, he chose Sailor Death's team, vowing to be her knight and protect her with his very life, even though she never loved him.
Note: Duncan has always suspected the Knight of Pentacles as the bad guy. (In other words: He was always badmouthing him and accusing him of things) Of course, that MAY just have been jealousy.
Fuku: Okay, since I'm not sure exactly how to go into complete detail (I don't know a lot of the correct names for the parts of his outfit - -), I'll do the best that I can and simplify to high heaven. ^^;; He wears a full suit of armor. Yup. A person in the sailor moon universe who actually wears plausible armor. It covers almost his entire body, with the exception of his head from the eyes up. Under the chainmail he wears leather pants, a light blue sweater, and a leather jacket (not like the ones bikers wear. Looks like something out of the renaissance).
Henshin: None! MWAHAHAHA!!! (Duncan: O.o ::is now scared::) He also automatically transforms into Knight of Swords when Corby is somehow in danger within walking/running/building-hopping distance from where he is. NOT good on a crowded street in the middle of rush hour, I'll tell ya...
Attacks: I'm not sure if I should fill this in, since he has no magic. But in case I do have to, here it is:
"Thousand Swords" Knight of Swords throws his sword into the air, holds out his arms and yells out the attack name. A thousand swords will rain down (Somehow not hurting him and other senshi and innocents. Strange. O.o). Once the attack is completed, Duncan pulls the Ace of Swords from the ground (it's actual form will always land right in front of him) and all the others disappear. Cannot be used indoors or under ground. It can be used in a forest, but there's a good chance a lot of the swords will be caught in trees, or at least cause some deforestation.
Weapon: Ace of Swords (According to Tarot World [http://tarotworld.8m.com/]:"A great new idea that comes to mind. Victory. Clear thinking. Focus. Problems overcome. Truth. Attainment of power or goals. The seeker might be a leader or hero. Strength. Action") A giant broadsword with a blade up to his waist. There are three gems in it, a sapphire, a pearl, and obsidian. The hilt is gold with silver trim, and on the guard there is writing in an ancient language used back in Arcana times that Duncan cannot read (Though it doesn't really matter. It mostly just says "Knight of Swords, Protect The Princess"). Used for, well, what normal swords are used for, such as sending people to their maker.
