We Originally started out being known to the world in Irish and Celtic folklore.
The more the people who read about us the more real we became until people realized it wasn't their imagination we were as real as any other human creature.
There are so many different theories to how we actually became it's hard to believe any of them.
Many people belive in the Norse theory which is that Maggots emerging from the corpse of a Ymir turned into light and dark Elves.
Another theory is semi christian theory where all we are are fallen angels not good enough for heaven or hell.
In Devon, pixies are considered to be unbaptised children.
In Celtic myths, we are nature spirits brought to life by the essence that we represent. (that's my favorite one :) )
We are considred to be Ancient and have existed in varying forms in many countries all over the world.
And still today more stories are being made whether true or false... only the author knows. :) Now that you know a brief history on us why don't we go on to the next subject of where to find us but we must move come follow me and try not to get lost.... |
