White Lace

I saw us there at dawn,
in our own magic sunrise place,
running hand in hand
through reflections of white lace.
His smile that warmed my body
as the sun did the sky above,
but time had changed the fantasy,
and too had changed the place.
We were new lovers, kept our hopes
with visions of white lace.

The sunrise soon became the night,
and we could not turn back.
Before my eyes,my own white lace,
had slowly turned to black.
And now the magic disappears,
each time I try to trace.
What remains in memories,
of my own sweet white lace
