This was written for my father Thomas.A.Kilgariff...when he died.
He was a proud man, who's sense of  responsibility never wavered, no matter the sacrifice to himself. 
I miss him very much, and wish I knew of his pain and his reality earlier then I did.
Maybe I would have understood better.
His generation.....missed a lot of roses I think.

When I am dead
Bring me no lillies white
And immaculate
But from the garden
Roses red
Roses in full bloom
And by the moon, sun kissed
Bring me roses
That my life has missed
When  am dead
