Rainbows

by  Geni
If I could catch a moonbeam or
See a rainbow in the night
I would call you softly to me
In confusions of delight.

I would streak your hair in stardust
Fill your eyes with silv'ry light
Wrap your youth in wispy rainbows
Tied with ribbons of sunlight

Would you come then if I called you
(I'll just softly call your name)
And the earth shall me my wittness
I will never be the same
