In the name of God amen

I Daniel Sprenkle of the Township of Hamiltonban in the County of adams & state of Pennsylvania being sick & weak in body but of sound mind memory & understanding Blefsed be God for his mercies for the same Do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner & form following to wit Principally and first of all I commend my immortal soul into the hand of God who gave it and my body to the earth to buried in a decent & christian like manner of the discretion of my Executors herein after named and as to such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to blefs me with in this life I give & dispose of the same in the following manner to wit I give and devise unto my beloved wife Christina Sprankle so much of my personal property as in her opinion she may stand in need of the residue to be sold at public sale by my Executors the proceeds thereof to be applyd. to the payment of my Just debts together with my funeral expenses and all charges touching the proveing of or otherwise concerning this my will. It is my will that my Executors enguage a suitable artist and divide my plantation on which I now by a strait line Beginning at the land of Alexander Gordon in the old great road Thence running the course of the fence at the upper end of the orchard until it strikes the back line on Jack's mountain. It is my will that my said wife Christina shall hold and enjoy all the western end of my plantation Thus divided as long as she lives and at her death to fall to my two sons William & Daniel as tenants in common. Further it is my will that whatever personal property my said wife may pofsefs at the time of her death now blonging to me shall also fall to my two sons William & Daniel. It is my Will that my executors shall sale the Eastern part of the plantation except ten acres which I will hereafter dispose of to my son George for hard money & yearly gales & for the highest and best best price they can get for the same and Execute a deed by courses and distances for the same to the purchaser or purchasers. I will and bequeath unto my grand son Thomas Davies fifty dollars. I will and bequeath unto my grandaughter Julyann Logan forty dollars which two Legacys one to ______ paid out of the last payments & gales which may be coming from the sale of my plantation when they shall severally come of age & should it happen that the last gales of the sale of my plantation should become due before the shall be of age then and in that case their money shall be put to interest in their use until they severally become of age. I will and devise unto Catharine Klausen now intermarried the sum eighty dollars to be paid by my Executors as soon as convenient. I give and bequeath unto my son George Sprankle the small house in which he now dwells together with ten acres of land including the _____ land around the house for a dwelling place during his natural life and at his death the said house and ten Acres of land is to fall to his Children for which two hundred dollars are to be deducted out of his portion of the remainder of my estate. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth intermarried with John Mayer twenty five cents. I will and bequeath unto the children of my son Charles wit Eli, Charles, Betty & Lizzy by the first wife fifty Dollars each. It is now my will that the ballance of my estate when the gales all become due &, all the money all collected after the foregoing bequests are accounted for and all my Just debts be paid, the residue and remainder of my Estate real & personal of whatever kind or nature soever the same may be in the County of Adams or elsewhere to be divided into seven shares to be paid out in the following manner to wit to my daughter Catharine intermarried with Jacob Stover one seventh part that is to say whatever that seventh part exceeds five hundred dollars he is to be paid having sold him land to the amount one thousand dollars and stipulated with him in an article of agreement for the sale of said land that I would upon the said Jacob Stover paying or securing to be paid five hundred dollars now my will is that my daughter shall receive what the said seventh part exceeds five hundred dollars. To my son William on seventh part. One seventh part to be put to interest for the use of my Daughter Polly intermarried with Peter Pafs the interest to be paid to her annually during her natural life and at her death the one halfth of the said seventh part to be equally distributed among her children share and share alike and the other half shall be paid to my two sons William & Daniel. one seventh part of the said seventh part to be put to interest for the use of my daughter Eve intermarried with Jacob Flose on interest to be paid her annually during her natural life and at her death the one half of the said seventh part to be equally distributed among her Children share & share alike and the other half to be paid to my two sons William & Daniel in equal parts. one seventh part or ballance of the seventh Part after deducting therefrom one hundred and twenty five dollars which I paid to Henry Bowser for which I hold his receipt to be put to interest for the use of my daughter Lenah intermarried with the said Henry Bowser the interest to be paid her ________ during her natural life and at her death the one half of the ballance of the said seventh part to equaly distributed among the children of my said Daughter share & share alike and the other half to be equaly divided between my two sons William & Daniel. one seventh part to my son George deducting therefrom the aforementioned for his life estate in the house & ten acres of Land heretofor bequeathed him. It is also my will that none of the foregoing Legacys shall be paid to any of my children or grandchildren during their minority all moneys being on hand before they become of age shall be put to interest until they attain their lawful age - Lastly I make constitute and appoint my said Wife Christina sprankle & my trusty friend George Welsh esqire of the borough of Gettysburg to be the Executors of this my last will & testament hereby revoking all other wills Legacys & bequests by me heretofore make & declaring this & no other to be my last will & testament. In Witnefs whereof I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal this twentieth day of october in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twentyone Oct 20, 1821.

Before me Jacob Winrott Esquire register for the probate of wills and granting Letters of administration in and for the County of adams in the state of Pennsylvania Personally came Jacob Heafly and John Weakley and on their Solemn Oaths do Severally say that they were personally present and saw and heard the therein named Daniel Sprinkle sign his name unto And Seal and publish the foregoing Instrument of writing as and for his last Will and Testament and at the time of doing thereof, he the said Daniel Sprinkle was of a Sound and disposing mind memory and Understanding to the best of their Knowledge and belief and that they Subscribed their names thereto as Witnefses in the presence of the said Testator and at hs Request and also in the presence of Each other at the same time.
