RÉSUMÉ

I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in History in 2003 from Tarleton State University, located in Stephenville, Texas, about seventy miles southwest of Fort Worth, Texas.  I finished my thesis in pursuit of my Master of Arts Degree in History there and am trying to get it published.  I have taught several sections of both U. S. and world history at Tarleton as an adjunct professor.  In fall 2008, I will be an graduate instructor at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).  I have also worked at the W. K. Gordon Center, a museum documenting the boom town turned ghost town of Thurber, Texas, where I learned many aspects of public history and how to work with archives and collections.  In the fall of 2006, I began working on my Ph.D. in Transatlantic History from at the University of Texas at Arlington.  I have been a contributing member to Phi Alpha Theta at both Tarleton and UTA, and at UTA I am currently President of the Transatlantic History Student Organization (THSO), a graduate student organization for anyone interested in transnational history or comparative history that deals with encounters, discoveries, and interaction across frontiers and borders situated in the countries and continents surrounding the Atlantic Basin.  During the spring 2008 semester, I completed my comprehensive exams, and will soon begin work on my dissertation.
