Bullets
Plans drawn up in a war room
To take the innocent victim
We protect ourselves, and we go in hard
We take no prisoners and we ask no questions
Approach the battlefield, our muscles tense
Poised for action, ready for life or death
And then, with no warning, all hell erupts
War has commenced, it's too late to stop
Bullets ripping open
Penetrate at most vulnerable
Fingers clutching, adrenaline pumping
Making love and war, conceived to kill them all
Sweat pouring down the flesh
Senses fully heightened
Cross the Rubicon now, the final assault
Target in sight, the blood rush comes
All forces ready, unleash on my command
Withhold it a bit longer to increase damage
But it's inevitable now, the impending carnage
The screams I hear add to my own
No longer in control
The world turns to a blur as all I see is flesh
My senses become one as all I feel is sweat
All is calm now as we survey the damage
Exhausted, we withdraw, but the battle is won
We drift away, to dreams of blood and metal
Eagerly await the dawning of a new day
As the darkness takes over, the ghosts are buried
The nightmares quietened and forgotten the memories
But as we wait and sleep, we forge our next victory
The impending conquest is not far away.
A guns and butter policy.
