Her mother Lois wants Brook to sing, because she has an amazing voice. Not to mention that her father Ned, use to be Eddie Maine a singer.
Brooklyn runs away from her mother and runs to Port Charles, where she meets up with Dillion and George who befriend her. They try to persuade her to sing for LnB, and get her to sing "Your the only one,"an Eddie Maine song. Yet she keeps trying to tell them that she doesn't want to sing because if she does then her mother would find her.
The detective that Lois hired to find Brook finds her and tries to take her away. She excapes, yet Mac gets involved due to Georgie's involvement. Long story short she returns to the Quadermaine mansion where both her mother and father were waiting for her.
Lois decides to stay in port charles, and help run LnB. Brooklyn stays too, yet she stays with the Frisco's (Felicia and family).
Lois tries to get Brook to sing and be discovered by creating an all girl group. They were one girl short and they create Dillion into a girl. Well long story short it doesn't work out. She continues to sing, because she is trying to make her mother stop seeing Lorenzo Alcazar, she thinks that if she makes her mother concentrate on her singing career that her mother would not see Alcazar. Brook still hopes that her parents would get back together and remarry.
