5. Always seems to be enjoying himself

7. He lives in London (though is from County Durham) which is always good

8. Cuteness in the Bluetonic promo video

9. Makes a good tramp (though not in the cooking sense as far as we know)

10. Makes two cardigans at once look GOOD

11. His name sounds like a music hall comedian

12. When my friend got her CD signed by the band Eds wrote "season's greetings" even though it was midsummer, proof if any were needed that he is an eccentric genius.

13. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that he invents things, which not enough people do so good on Eds for inventing things, however useless and doomed never to be made the things Eds invents probably are.

14. His drum fill before the last verse of Last Of The Great Navigators is one of the only fills in recorded history that could ever be accurately described as "cheeky".

15. He is married to cool person (hey Zazie!) who helps on Tones site by contributing pix of lovely young Tones!

16. He gets equally excited (and it is a LOT of excitement) about cooking fish pie and putting up shelves.

17. The bit in the Mudslide video where he tries to twirl his drumstick & drops it - bless!
