| Outside the Galaxy |
| Something just occured to me as I was watching Empire Strikes Back this weekend. In the ending sequence there's a scene where Luke, Leia, R2, and C3PO are staring out the viewport at a giant spiral galaxy. Now, in the recent books of the New Jedi Order, they say that it's impossible to get in and out of the galaxy because of some hyperspace anomly. Well, if this is true, then where were the Rebellion ships, and what was the galaxy that they were staring at? One possible conclusioin is that they were on the far outskirts of the galaxy and is was far enough out to see most of it. But they looked pretty far out in the movie. Can you get that far to the edge of a galaxy without crossing the border? I dont' know... |
