| Dance of the Mayflies |
| Great Episode. I loved it. Big Trance revelations. I noticed a lot of Trances old manerisms and attitudes peaking through. Trance's personality isn't gone, it's just matured. I like that the writers are seeing that and really bringing it out. You don't have to completly destroy a character's personality when you "grow them up" you just have to know how to make their old personality sound more mature. When Trance gave Dylan that shot she sounded just like her old self. And of course the question that followed and her answer were very, old-Trance-like. Is Trance a Zombie? Hmm...now there's an interesting idea. Trance never registered to have any life signs. And she is an inigma, could she not acually be alive, in the real sense? She could be some kind of manifested physical spirit. Something to think about. Title. The titles of the shows are begining to mean more. Unlike some shows they have real meaning to the story. Titles can be very powerful story builders. They can reveal intricasies in the plot that may not be as obvious but once realized they can make the entire plot mean more. I like how Tyr never had any of the physical action. He spent the entire episode standing in command. It's becoming a paradox with his part. He's the super powerful kick-butt character, yet, he doesn't get much chance to fight. On the contrary, the writers are exploring he mental side. His intelligence, strategic ability, and philisophical attitude. I liked the way he struggled over what to do about the corpses, verses Beka. It wasn't so easy to make a decision when there was a person he cared about in the mix. Top score for this episode. High marks. When re-run set two comes around I promise to find some kind of grading system. |
