| Under the Night |
| The season premere. A great starter for the new series, and well prepared for. The hype about the show was strong but not overdone. I waited all summer for the show to start. Mostly because of Kevin Sorbo but I soon found that the show had much more to offer than just a strong lead character. It had style and action, and some fairly good special effects. All in all it was a great first episode that kept at least me, and probably many others, tuning back in week after week. Synopsis: The Adromeda Assendant is running an emergency drill. The crew members rush to thier combat stations as First Officer Rhade (Steven Bacic) times them. Captian Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo) jumps down a ladder shaft and uses an anti-grav harness to land. Andromeda is not pleased, but Dylan doesn't worry, Andromeda won't let him fall. Dylan: You wouldn't let that happen, cause then you'd have to break in a new captian. Dylan comes to command and meets Rhade for a report. 3 minutes 27 seconds. Rhade: Too slow! Dylan: (sheilding his ears) Too loud. On his way out Dylan reminds Thomas, a battle station man, that he must activate a secondary battery when he mans the station. Rhade is displeased but Dylan is confident he will get it right next time. Dylan instructs his crew to keep working to get the drill under three minutes. He and Rhade walk to command as they discuss Dylan's upcomming wedding to Sarah and the cynisism of Neiztchians (which is what Rhade is). Andromeda alerts them there's an incoming message from another High Guard ship. He goes to command. The ship's pilot informs Hunt that the planet Hephestus is being evacuated because a nearby black hole has begun to deystroy the planet's atmosphere. They go to Hephestus and help. The planet is mostly Neiztchian and they are all evacuating quickly. As they mount the rescue the Neischzians begin firing. Andromeda: It's a t |
