This episode should have been called "Intentions." All that was talked about were intentions. Good intentions, bad intentions. This isn't a bad thing but the repitition can be annoying of focusing, depending on how it's used. I'm reminded of the "Hercules" episode "Promises" They kept using the title word over and over again. Herc promised to help, the girl promised to marry, the king promised to kill,... It was monotinous. This wasn't too bad, I can't say it was the best.
There was little ensemble work. We only see four of the six main characters in two storylines. Including Harper and Rev in the picture may have helped though I don't know where. The scenes with Beka and Tyr are good. There has always been a strong sexual tension between Beka and the other male characters on the show, accually it's just a three way thing between Beka, Dylan, and Tyr. This episode made Tyr and Beka's attraction more obvious. It was hinted about in "Angel Dark Demon Bright" and even some in "D Minus Zero" when Try goes to Beka in secret about Dylan. It will be a fun thing to develop on next season. |
