| Not bad for a beginning. Sort of an end of a begining. It would have been nice if they hadn't needed to tell the whole story in two parts. (two part premieres inply a need to keep the audiences watching for more than one episode) Dispite the continuance I was of course front and center for this second episode. It had a good story. It started things out and twisted a little at the end. Forcing Beka to beg Dylan for help was a good turnaround. It also forshadowed the ending where Dylan askes Beka's team to join him. Every good series needs a good base. A foundation that spreads into an ongoing, inderlying them. Andromeda's them: Restor the Commonwealth and bring order to the galaxy. What's in store for our fine off the street friends? Wait till you found out. I like the characters contrast. First you have Dylan, this smubby, little rich kid brat, who has everthing he could possibly want and probably no idea what loss feels like, and then you have Beka, born on the streets, "raised like wolves" (from "Pearls"), live or die, no sense of order. The streetsmart savvy meest the cluless captain. I love it. If they don't fall in love I'll be disappointed. But, they are in for some good fights. I can see it coming. They you got Tyr. What are we going to do with Tyr? You think Dylan's stuck up? Get a load of this guy. Not only does he thing he's good, that's the whole reason he was born. Scary. He opposes, well, everyone, but mostly Rev, the born-killer turned apostle. Rev is a Christ-like character, and Tyr couldn't hate him more. I could say a lot about Trance and Harper, (I think I may fall in love) but I'll leave that for their bios. Enjoy the new season of Andromeda! |
