Banning: [Ethaniel is holding on to a cliff in a icy cave] Remember, Ethaniel, You either with me or against me. With me there's unimaginable power. Against me...[Banning steps on Ethaniel's hand and he loses his grip and he falls]
[he wakes up]
Laura: Ethaniel!
Ethaniel: NO!
Laura: It's okay. You were dreaming.
Ethaniel: Laura, I think I'm going to die.

Laura: You has some pretty awful dreams when you first arrived.
Ethaniel: Not like this. This was real.
Laura: Sometimes the conscious mind blocks out our true fears, and they come out at night.
Ethaniel: I've read about dreams, sometimes they can be a premenition of whats going to happen.
Laura: Your scared of Banning killing you?
Ethaniel: I'm afraid he will get my brother, or worse, somehow use me to get to him.
Laura: Dreams arn't literal, they don't neccesarily have to come true.
Ethaniel: This isn't just another little dream. I didnt mean to-
Laura: It's okay. I am not a dream specialist. But I know someone who is. Her name is Rosalind Steiner, she's uh, an old friend from the University. I haven't seen her for a few years but if anyone can get to the bottom of your dream problem...she can. I think she's at the Blue Spring Clinic in Chicago.

Rosalind: Oh my God, It's really you. Hi.
Laura: Hi Ros uh,....this is Ethaniel.
Ethaniel: Hi, nice to meet you.
Rosalind: It's been a long time. Come in.
Laura: Ethanial is been suffering from amnesia.
Rosalind: Please sit down. Well, you did always find the most unique research subjects.
Ethaniel: I've heard this part before.
Laura: This is a beautiful facility. You've done well for yourself.
Rosalind: Oh thanks....I'll have to give you the tour. I didn't know you were still practicing...I mean, I didn't know what you were still doing.
Laura: The institute being destroyed hit me pretty hard.
Rosalind: Jim Graham will be missed.
Laura: Yes he will.
Rosalind: I assume this is a professional call, so what can I do for you?
Laura: Ros, there is something I should tell you first. Something I have learned in treating Ethaniel suggests...Well, I believe he has expecianced an alien encounter. He has dreams that could be memories, I need to seperate whats real from the rest of his drem world.
Rosalind: Are we talking about an abduction?
Laura: Ros, I have do invoke some docter-patient confidentiality here.
Rosalind: In other words you want my help, but you don't want me poking my nose into your research, is that correct? You know, I have often wondered when the day would ever come when Laura Keating actually needed someone else's help.
Laura: I guess it has.
Rosalind: I'll do anything I can. What are friends for, right?

Laura: Maybe it's something you do back home but here it's called invasion of privacy.
Ethaniel: I was just checking your credentials.
Laura: And?
Ethaniel: I didn't have much time but it confirmed what you told me. She's helped alot of people.
Laura: Thanks you.
Ethaniel: She is still competing with you, isn't she?
Laura: We competed...doesn't mean we are enemies.
Ethaniel: It doesn't mean you are friends either.
Laura: Are you saying you don't trust her?
Ethaniel: I am learning that trust isn't something you give lightly. Our lives depend on it.
Laura: What do you want me to say? I'm not anymore confortable being here than you are. But Rosalind is the best in her field, and if your dreams are the key to unlocking your past that she will find the key. I don't have to like her. I don't even have to trust her. We just need her to do her job.

Rosalind: We treat hypersomnia which is too little or too much sleep. Somnambulism, sleep walking, somniloquy, sleep talking, and narcosis.
Ethaniel: Which is?
Rosalind: That is a rare-state that leaves a patient parazysed in a coma.
Ethaniel: I think I'll stick to nightmares.
Rosalind: Hmm, I'm with you.
Dr. Gray: No change.
Rosalind: Patient A...we don't even know his name. He has been camatoused ever since he was brought in. It's the worse case of narcosis any of us has seen. Well, Dr. Raymond Gray, our head of research. Dr. Laura Keating, and Ethaniel.
Etaniel: How do you do?
Dr. Gray: Hi.
R: Dr. Gray will be assisting us in Ethaniel's sleep study.
Dr. G: What kind of dreams are you having, Ethaniel?
Ethaniel: Bad ones.
Dr. Gray: You sound like a challenge, and I love a challenge. Poor guy...I wish I could be more help.
Rosalind: So, when would you like to begin?
Laura: As soon as possible.
Rosalind: We moniter breathing, heartrate, and rapid eye movement which is indicators of these state, which is dreaming. Alright?...okay.
Laura: Sweet dreams.
Dr. Gray: Rosalind, we have R.E.M. activity.

Man [in dream]: Is this the home of James Henry?
Lady:[in dream] Jimmy.

Laura: [Ethaniel wakes up] Are you okay? What is it?
Ethaniel: I know who I am.

Laura: If your a bakery worker in Chicago than how do you explain whats been happening?
Ethaniel: I can't explain it either Laura but I remember everything, even where I work. Down near the lake, pouring flower into these giant mixers.
Laura: How did you know that?
Ethaniel: I was thinking about it when I got off the bus. And the fact that the Hawks are six games into a losing streak. You don't seem very happy for me, Laura. Maybe we will find out everything now. Maybe everything else that happened was the bad dream. Glen Ellen Street. This is it.
Laura: And this is home.
Ethaniel: yup, here I got the bus stop right there and the bowling alley is right around that corner next to, uh, Timothy's.
Laura: Timothy's?
Ethaiel: Yeah it's this great place to grab a beer after work. Great place, super friendly.
Laura: What is it?
Ethaniel: Nothing...uhhh, I think it's the next street.
Laura: Which one is your house?
Ethaniel: This one. My parents used to live there before they died.
Lady: Jimmy? Oh my God! I thought you were gone for good this time.
Ethaniel: Yeah, so did I. Something happened and I lost my memory. I just got it back.
Lady: Who's this.
Ethaniel: Laura Keating, she's the docter that found me.  Laura, this is my sister Jan.
Jan [lady]: Bless you for bringing him home. Come on in. There you are.
Laura: Thanks.
Jan: Your welcome. This isn't his first episode. You would think I would be used to it by now.
Laura: how many has he had?
Jan: We've lost count. When he was a kid they lost a day or so.
Laura: Did he ever see a doctor?
Jan: Ton of them. They all said something different. Then he got worse.
Laura: Did he ever have and explaination for where he had been?
Jan: Always. Some crazy story that doesn't make any sense to anyone. Where did he say he ways this time?
Laura: He doesn't remember exactly.
Jan: Maybe it's just as well.

Laura: Do you remember any of those photographs?
Ethaniel: No, but it's definately me. It'll come back...so much has.
Bartender: Well, would you look at what the cat dragged in. Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy. Where the hell have you been hiding, man?
Ethaniel: I know you-
Bartender: Johnny. Oh, God, this again, huh? You know, I thought the aliens took you for real this time.
Laura: Aliens?
Johnny: Yeah oh Jimmy hasn't been telling you about any of his stories? According to our little friend here, He's been spending more time in outer space than Sputnik. Listen, what can I get you on the house?
Ethaniel: Whatevers cold, as long as it is ale.
Johnny: Regular...coming up.
Ethaniel: Uh, make it two.
Johnny: Two coming right up.
Ethaniel: Ohh, I come here to watch the Blawk Hawk games. You got to love the Hawks, huh? I mean, even if they started out-
Laura: Ethaniel, What about Banning? What about everything we've been through since you arrived?
Johnny: Yeah, kids, watch your head. There you go.
Ethaniel: Yes.
Johnny: And I got some of those pretzels you like so much.
Ethaniel: Yeah, keep those coming...thanks, John.
Johnny: Ahh see...it's coming back now.
Ethaniel: Mm-hmm
Johnny: For old times sake. Down the hatch.
Ethaniel: Cheers. Johnny and I grew up together.
Johnny: Hmm, you bet your ass we did. You know, people still talk about the pranks that we pulled.
Ethaniel: Remember, that one time that we, uh that we stole the wheels from old Benton's Cadillac?
Johnny: remember his face?
Ethaniel: Yes.
Johnny: Man, did he love that car.
Laura: When Jimmy would dissapear would he tell you were he had been?
Johnny: Yeah sure, been just about everywhere,...right Jimmy? Hey, remember the time the aliens took you on your way to Miami Beach? Hmm?
Ethaniel: No.
Johnny: Come on, sure you do. Come on, you had that old Dodge that you said broke down on your way to Orlando, claims that he is picked up by this tunnel of light. You know, doing samples, testing and what not. You got to get him to tell you the story about the probe.
Ethaniel: Nope, no, that's where we stop. That's enough right there...stop.
Johnny: Well, it's good to see you.
Ethaniel: Yeah. Good to see you, John.
Johnny. Okay. You kids let me know if you need anything else.
Ethaniel: Okay. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Oh man.

Ethaniel: It's like that dream triggered a flood of lost memories.
Laura: This isn't you. This isn't where you are from.
Ethaniel: How do you know?
Laura: How do you explain Banning? You do remember who he is don't you?
Ethaniel: Sure, he was the one that is trying to kill us. Still don't know why he choose me though...
Laura: You know why he wants you. You came here to stop him.
Ethaniel: Laura, I know this is hard for you to understand but, uh, this whole spaceman thing...it's not for real.
