David Banning

Sex: Male
Species: Theron
Hair color: Black
Age: Unknown

Leader of the shadowy organization ETERNITY, Banning is a Theron trying to develop weapons to kill off all the life on Earth so that his kind can replace the human race as the dominant species. Banning is ruthless and will stop at nothing to achive his goal. If anyone tries to interfiere with his goals than he will take those person[s] out. Banning is considered very attractive by some human females. Banning can be can be very persuasive when it comes to him getting weapons and he will gladly trade a human for lets say...a weapon that makes the atom bomb look like a toy. Banning cannot sustain his human form for as long as Ethaniel and this puts him at an disadvantage. He is a violent man and full of pride. Banning gets constantly frustrated that despite all the people he has sent after Ethaniel he still can't kill him. Banning, however, does kow the meaning of the word patience although this is thinning over time. As the saying goes..."If you want something done than do it yourself." Maybe he should do that. He is considering it.

At his side is the loyal android Mr. Dent who acts as his bodyguard almost and does his bidding. Dent however has been acting strange lately and even defying orders. Banning may have to solve whatever 'problem' Dent has.

Banning, along with Dent, is also one of the very few characters that does not become pesitmistic.

Banning notices that Dent is changing, exhibiting behavior that he previously had not. Why he did not do anything is unknown. Banning apparently either was not smart enough to figure out that Dent's operating systems options had been modified despite the obvious signs that something was wrong. Perhaps Banning did not care that Dent was exhibiting more emotion than he usually does as long as it does not interfere with his work in tracking down Ethaniel.
Banning trusts Dent more than any Theron because he is not as emotional as the Therons who are around humans and begin to behave like them.

Interestingly enough he defended Dent when questioned by Brant about trust. He says he trusts a machine over a Theron because machines are far less likely to express and have emotions that would distract and sidetrack one. Banning did admit that he does have human emotions but he does not realize that his cause is suffering because of them.

One of Bannings weaknesses is that he wants Ethaniel to be alive so that he can prolong his human form. The only problem is that by wasting the time and resources he spent tracking down Ethaniel he could have had the Earth's life wiped out many times over if he had killed Ethaniel earlier instead of do the 'keep him alive and unharmed' routine.
