Lost Affinity
I always wonder what you’ve
become,
Across the ocean, left at the sun.
You took my money and my favourite tea,
I find myself searching the directories.
Now I hear you’ve moved away,
Back to the city to play your games,
Maybe it’s best I can’t complain,
Don’t wanna talk just stay away.
So much for the red, white and blue,
Black and Blue when I’m thinking of you,
I’ve got my English Rose to warm my heart that froze,
I thank my stars and stripes we’re through.
Life, liberty the salt in my wounds,
Once again feel you call me to you,
Those who dream only wake to find
a belief in nothing to pass the time
What I dream I Leave where I lay
Never taught me to walk away,
Life is real It can be fake
Don’t want to talk, just stay awake
