Sources for Researching your 55-56-57 Chevy Restoration

These are some great sources for finding out what you're getting into.

The book How to Restore Your 1957 Chevy by Classic Chevy International is an incredible step by step guide with lots of pictures. Even though it is written for a '57, this book has given me great tips.

Classic Chevy International also sells a CD-ROM containing the complete set of manuals for the tri-five cars.

"Licensed by General Motors this CD contains the following manuals:
1955: Shop, Factory Assembly, Accessory Installation, Air Conditioning Service, Fisher Body (Vols. 14-1, 14-6, 14-11), Trim (Upholstery)

1956: Shop Supplement (interlaced into 1955 shop manual to read like a complete 1956 manual), Factory Assembly, Fisher Body/Chevrolet #1 & #2, Accessory Installation (1955 accessory manual was used for 1956, and is included in 1956 section)

1957: Shop, Factory Assembly, Accessory Installation, Fuel Injection, Engineering Highlights

Also contains animation, sound effectes, and a color photo gallery." HOME
