Responsibilities: Revenue Recognition: The aim of project was to change automated recognition of revenue from the time of transfer of ownership to the time of complete shipment.  This involved modifying existing CICS-DL/I programs to associate a percentage of revenue with a given class of material.  I also modified the downstream systems to store and report accurately.

Responsibilities: Platinum Thread Terminator-(Terminates runaway DB2 threads) Took a successful pilot and made a product from it.  Wrote ISPF dialogs, added the capability to terminate multiple threads with a single request.  Enhanced security by optionally invoking the MVS Security Access Facility (allowing customers to control access using RACF, ACF2 or Top Secret). Responsibilities: Database Logical and Physical Design, for the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) System.  The EBT system authorizes the distribution of government benefits through the use of magnetically encoded cards.  The EBT system runs on three platforms, IBM compatible PC's Windows for display services, IBM 3090 systems using DB2 for "Back Office" functions, and a TANDEM system using Non-Stop SQL for transaction authorization. Responsibilities planning for non-disruptive introduction of change into a system with a 98+ percent uptime requirement, design and implementation of batch processes to stabilize data file sizes and maintain referential integrity across platforms.  Test Coordinator and Data Administrator of the EBT System.  Architect for the Authorization Processor.  The AP authorizes financial transactions from ATMs, bank tellers and POS devices.
