Entry for April 18, 2007
Hello guys,
Again, I won't be around tomorrow, Friday 20 April 2007 (IMSP Workshop) and Saturday 21 April 2007 (UPLB Seminar-Workshop on Large Classes).
However, as announced in class, you will view a film (An Inconvenient Truth) about Al Gore's (America's Ex Future President) campaign against the global warming phenomenon, which i guess is already happening. Here are the guide questions that your groups should discuss:
1. What can you say about the interdisciplinary nature of the film?
2. What is/are the nature of the quantitative reasoning used in the film?
3. Discuss the nature of the scientific fraud that Mr. Gore described in the film.
4. Do you agree with Mr. Gore that indeed something has to be done to prevent global warming? Do you agree with his views as presented in the film?
I suggest that you discuss this on saturday, especially if some of you have classes after our class.
Your group report is due on Monday 23 April 2007. I suggest that you word-process your report. Do not forget to write your names.
Enjoy
