James Endleman CONNELL Sr. was born in 1740 in Kintyre, Scotland.⁹¹ He emigrated in 1746 from Isle of Sky, Scotland.^92,93 James plowed Miss McDonald's fields on the border of Scotland and England before the rebellion of 1745. He followed Miss McDonald to the Isle of Skye off the west coast of England. In 1746 he sailed with Miss McDonald and her clan to the new world.
